In the early days of the church, many of its rites were held at night, and candles were used mainly for lighting.
In both Buddhism and Christianity, candlelight represents light, hope, and grief.
In Western churches, there are all kinds of candles, because in the West, the spirit of the Lord is the candle, lighting the candle is the fire of the soul. So the general Western wedding will light candles, also on behalf of hope to God’s care.
