The correct way to light scented candles and precautions
Preparation before lighting
Trim the wick : Before each light, trim the wick to 5-8mm to prevent it from being too long and causing black smoke or accelerating burning .
Tool selection : Use a long light igniter or matches, avoid burning the lighter .
Placement environment : Ensure that the candle is placed on a level, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials and air flow interference .
First burning points
Burning time : The first ignition requires continuous burning of for more than 2 hours until a complete wax pool forms on the surface to prevent the formation of “memory loops” (depressions) .
If the candle is large in diameter or has multiple cores, light all the cores at the same time
Uniform heating : Determine whether it can be extinguished by observing whether the wax pool is completely melted (with no residual wax blocks at the edge) .
Avoid the “memory loop” trick
Auxiliary tools : If there is a dent, wrap the rim of the cup with tin foil to gather heat, or use a smart lid, wax melting lamp, or hair dryer to melt the wax on the edge .
Residual heat repair : After extinguishing, while the wax has not yet solidified, scrape the residual wax from the edge to the central wax pool and use the residual heat to melt and repair the surface .
Correct way to extinguish
Avoid blowing out : Blowing with your mouth can produce black smoke and unpleasant odors. It is recommended to use a candle extinguisher or cover to keep out the oxygen, or immerse the wick in wax oil and straighten it .
Supplementary tips
Safe storage : After use, close the lid tightly and store in a cool and dry place to prevent dust and aroma from evaporating .
Use in layers : If the fragrance fades, discard the upper layer of solidified wax oil (for wax melting lamp use only) .
Control of burning time : Subsequent single burning is recommended not to exceed 4 hours to avoid overly strong aroma or overheating of the container .
Precautions
