The correct use of scented candles

Scented candles are not only a home decoration that enhances the quality of life, but also create a comfortable atmosphere through the aroma that helps relax the body and mind. The correct use of scented candles can both ensure safety and give full play to its efficacy. The following is a detailed guide to the use of scented candles:

1. Environment preparation
Ventilation: Before lighting aromatherapy candles, ensure that the indoor air is fresh and ventilated to eliminate odors and avoid mixing aromatherapy smells with cloudy air.
Stable airflow: Choose a position without obvious airflow interference to place the candle to avoid the wind causing the flame to shake or extinguish, and also reduce the risk of uneven burning of the candle and black smoke.
Safe distance: Keep away from flammable objects, curtains, books, etc., keep at least 10 cm away from furniture and walls, and keep away from children and pets.

2. Candle wick treatment
Trim the candle wick: Using special candle wick scissors, trim the candle wick to about 0.3-0.5 cm long. Too long a wick will make the flame too high, causing the candle to heat unevenly and produce black smoke. Make sure the candle is cool before trimming to avoid spilling wax.
3. Combustion control
Suitable time: It is recommended to control the single burning time between 2-4 hours to avoid excessive aroma or candle consumption too fast due to continuous burning for too long. When the indoor aroma reaches the ideal concentration, it can be extinguished in time.
Use at intervals: If you need to enjoy the aroma for a long time, you can light it in time to gradually release the aroma and avoid the supersaturation of the aroma caused by continuous burning for a long time.
4. Extinguishing method
Special tools: Use professional tools such as candle extinguisher or candle hook to extinguish the candle to avoid blowing out the black smoke and burnt smell. Put the candle cap gently over the flame, and the flame will be extinguished naturally when the oxygen is exhausted.
Wax pool immersion: If there is no special tool, the candle wick hook can be used to immerse the candle wick in the wax liquid and quickly extinguish the fire source.
5. Perform subsequent maintenance
Candle cup cleaning: After each use, when the candle is completely cool, clean up the residual candle tears around the candle wick and keep the candle cup clean.
Wick finishing: If necessary, use the wick hook to adjust the candle wick upright to avoid skew affecting combustion.
Candle storage: Unused scented candles should be stored in a cool and dry place to avoid fading and running fragrance caused by direct sunlight. Used candles should be covered with a matching lid to prevent dust and insects from entering.
